My Own Way

Its getting harder and harder to say
That ive been blocked out, cus ive been okay
Im going out, ‘aint coming to stay
Im running fast, but not far away
I see the world change, i see where to go
Im finding out, I finally know
The smile on my face, beginning to show
Im reaching out, im starting to grow
Cus some people run
Some people fly
But i just wanna get there my own way
And sometimes I fall
Sometimes I break
But you know thats not every day
Im walking around, im letting it loose
The sun is out, im feeling the music
Im breaking out, im making a truce
To see the side I really never knew
Sometimes I forget that Im nowhere near the end
Im still fighting with my brain
Im still running from the change
I feel six feet underneath
Like im falling through the seams
Tired of something i cant say
But its always in my way
But im not just gonna drop
I can give it all ive got
Put it into what i sing
I am stronger than you think
Solo
Cus some people run
Some people fly
But i just wanna get there my own way
And sometimes I fall
Sometimes I break
But you know thats not every day

things happen fast everybody was going wild when we first walked into this building
first we met tom and sandra and they were real cool
you never know what to expect
you never know what to expect
you never know what to expect
things happen fast we started a band our band was like a team
We helped each other learn the songs
sometimes it would take us 48 hours to learn a song
but it was worth it in the end
you never know what to expect
you never know what to expect
you never know what to expect
its an awesome program because we get to learn music
sets you up with music buddies that you never expected to know
we play multiple genres we do the newer hits we do old stuff
before we knew it we were playing the concert and it felt so natural
you never know what to expect
you never know what to expect
you never know what to expect
then theres that thing the songwriting workshop
it gives you the chance to write with your music buddies
you never know what to expect
you never know what to expect
you never know what to expect
